RULES AND REGULATIONS
FOR FALL 2024

There will be 3 sessions consisting of 12 races per session Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Each team will be made up of 8 different drivers with a salary cap of $10 million for Spring, $11 million for Summer, and $12 million for Fall sessions. Each team will be limited to three people per team.

The Cookeville Fantasy Nascar Board will set driver prices/values.

The entry fee is $50 per team per season: ($20 entry fee for the league:($2)(12 races)=$24; $6 for the end of season pay out party; ($24 + $20 +$6=$50). The entry fee is due when the starting team is entered. There will be a $5 per trade fee. A team can trade their entire team, all 8 drivers, for $25. A maximum of 8 trades per week, per team will be allowed. The entry fee is due when the teams are turned in, paid to the treasurer. If no money is paid by 1st race that team comes up for bid, if no bid the team is drop.

Deadline for entering the spring session is 8:00 PM Wednesday, Aug 21, 2024. Salary cap is 12 million for FALL session.

If a team enters after qualifying of the 1st race, but before the race, the team gets one point less than the lowest league qualifying score.

A team may enter the league at any time as long as the entry is made by 8:00 PM on Wednesday before qualifying for that week’s race. Two dollars per previous race run will be deducted from the original $50 entry fee. No points will be awarded for races run before the late team entry date.

The official results on Nascar.com that are released on Monday will be the final standing for that week’s race. Any points taken away from drivers by NASCAR after Monday’s official race results will not be deducted from drivers in Cookeville Fantasy Nascar League. The Cookeville Fantasy Nascar League weekly winner will be paid on Wednesday at the regular weekly meeting.

The team on record with the Cookeville Fantasy Nascar League on Wednesday at 8:00pm before that week’s race will be the team for that week’s race. Please try to make your trades in person. Any team that has a driver(s) unable to qualify or race after Wednesday deadline, regardless of circumstance will get the points awarded to the car number for that race only and will have to trade before the next race if the original driver is not able to race.

All trade fees are due when trades are made. If trades are made by email or phone they must be paid before the start of that week race.

Any team that attempts to field a team over the salary cap will be fined a $10 salary cap violation and will automatically revert back to their previous race team. The $10 salary cap violation will be added to the end of the season party fund. The $10 salary cap violation must be paid before the next race. The $5 trade fee will be paid in addition to the $10 salary cap violation.

NO team(s) can trade into another team, including their own team(s) after the 9th race of the season. NO team(s) can trade into another team for the purpose of blocking another team from gaining points after the 9th race of the season, that are with in 100 points of first place.

If two teams are tied for 1st place they will split 1st and 2nd place money, if 2nd and 3rd tie they will split 2nd and 3rd place money. In the event of a 3rd, 10th or 25th place tie they will split the money for that place.

If one or more teams trade into the same team the same week, the weekly winnings will be split between all the teams tied for first place that week.

A team has 10 days after a race to protest any scoring discrepancies.

Scoring will consist of qualifying points on a 45 point scale and the official NASCAR points awarded each race including stage points will be double. The qualifying points will be awarded as follows: Pole – 45, 2nd – 44, 3rd – 43, etc. A scoring reference sheet will be provided.

There will be 2 official scorekeepers from the Cookeville Fantasy Nascar League (Jeff Smith and Bobby Bradley) the website is www.cookevillenascar.com will be updated after the race and verified when official numbers are released.

All money collected will be placed in a checking account. The account will require two board member signatures.

All entry fees and trade dollars go into the pool to be paid out at the end of season party. Two dollars per league team will be awarded each week to the weekly winners, pay out will be decided by the voting results on the back of the entry sheet. (PLEASE VOTE) The race pool will be paid out at the end of the season to the top 3 scores plus 10th place and 25th place, also 200(2 x 50, 4 x25) dollars will be pull out for cash door prizes. The pay percentages are: 1st – 50%, 2nd – 30%, 3rd – 10%, 10th – 5%, and 25th – 5%. Teams in 4th and 5th places will get trophies, 50th place will get a team for half next session. Vinnie T’s are donating the trophies.

The Cookeville Fantasy Nascar League meets for fun, food, and drinks each Wednesday at 5pm at Vinnie T’s. All trades must be submitted to a board member by 8:00 PM on Wednesday. The trades may be made in person or phoned in by 8:00 PM on Wednesday .The highest weekly race scoreS will be paid out at this time. If there is no race the following Sunday, the weekly payout will be made the following Wednesday that precedes Sundays race. Qualifying and Race result printouts will be handed out at the Wednesday meeting and will be loaded on www.cookevillenascar.com

If any rule is violated, a $10.00 fine is assessed, subject to the review of the board of directors of the Cookeville Fantasy Nascar League.

Any team can ask the Cookeville Fantasy Nascar League to vote on a ruling if they choose to protest a score or rule. The decision of the Cookeville Fantasy Nascar League is final. There will be a board meeting every 6th race or when needed.

Board members elections will be held at the end of the fall session party in November.
